A new technology was designed that can filter 'inappropriate' posts on social media such as Facebook, Twitter. It was developing for sporting club but will be aiming on high schools to prevent online bullying. Social media filter will identify the risky photos or comments. The filter was developed by Kudos Knowledge,a Sydney-based company which filter to extract risky information on social media like Facebook or Twitter and has the capacity to alert third party such as sport club administrator. Still, the technology will focus on the 'indiscretion' of the sport stars and high schools are the second target. The new technology will go through it's first trial next month at Matraville Sport High School in Sydney.

Social Media is making ticket sales a bigger Challenge
The couch versus the stadium. The is one of the challenges faced by sports team in getting fans to watch the game live in the stadium rather than from the couch in front of a big screen television.
According to WBBM Newsradio's Nancy Harty reports that watching a game from the couch has been more interesting than it used to be thanks to high definition TV and the social media where you can often find highlights within minutes of the action in real life.
Some said that the emotional experience you get on site of the sporting event is not comparable to sitting on the couch watching the same exact game.
People who supports going to the stadium to experience the atmosphere of the game said that, instead of having to get information from social media, they would like people to get the information from view the game live at the stadium.

Social media's hilarious reaction on Suarez's biting
When Luis Suarez, the Uruguayan bite Italian Giorgio Chiellini, Suarez again made headlines everywhere, the newspaper, the radio and the biggest platform of all, the social media. Well, this is obviously not the first time he made headlines, he made headlines when he racially abused Manchester United defender, Patrice Evra and also when he bite Chelsea's defender, Branislav Ivanovic, which he later apologized and said that he had learned his lesson after he was banned for 10 matches.
However, it looks like he hasn't learned his lesson, this time his impulsive act has cost him an immediate ban from the rest of the World Cup tournament, including nine international matches and four months banned from any footballing activities.
When Suarez, who seems to have a habit of biting sunk his teeth into the Italian defender, that was all it needed to trigger the social media traffic into posting hilarious picture of Suarez.
From memes to Twitter, Suarez is all over the Internet. Here are some of the pictures photo shopped by some of the social media users. These pictures are shared all over Facebook and retweeted and favourite many times on Twitter by the respective users.

Nick Kyrgios' surprise win over Rafael Nadal
With the win in hand, Nick Kyrgios became the first player outside the top 100 to beat a world number one since Andrei Olhovsky versus Jim Courier in the year 1992.
Since the win, the Australian has brought in a sponsorship flood ranging from car companies, watch companies and drinks company. However, the youngster isn't ready to cash in anything yet.
According to John Morris (Kyrgios' manager), "we are not interested in short-term gimmicks, we are looking for partnerships with people to come on board and be part of Nick Kyrgios brand and the Nick Kyrgios journey that's why we are being very selective in a sense of who we partner with and who we bring into that team."
Also, with a stunning win in the pocket, Nick Kyrgios has also gained some new fans. People who watch the match took to twitter to congratulate Nick including fellow countryman and actor Hugh Jackman.

ESPN, Univision Crackdown on Social Media Sharing
![]() |
| Messi - Argentina vs Netherlands |
According to a report from The Wall Street Journal,
ESPN, Univision and FIFA are seeking to protect their exclusive rights to World
Cup footage by asking other purveyors to stop creating highlights on social
media.
With the technology advancement nowadays, sport fans
are easily access to the social media by posting photos or videos of the FIFA
World Cup when they are on site or in front of the television. They may be too
excited with their excellent performance of the team they supported. However,
the sports fans should respect the exclusive rights that have been given to
ESPN, Univision and FIFA.

World Cup is Winning Social Media
World Cup is becoming the biggest social media event ever because the international soccer tournament is breaking records on multiple platform. Sure, when other sporting events such as the Olympics, NBA Finals or Super Bowl is on, people do talk about it on social media, however, World Cup has dominated those sporting events.
According to one report, Twitter users published more than 16 million tweets, or 389,000 tweets per minute during the Brazil versus Chile game, breaking the record set in February during the Super Bowl. FIFA, the organization behind the 2014 World Cup, has mulitiple social media official accounts across three platform: Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. The official Facebook page of the 2014 World Cup currently has 38 million likes and 2.8 million Twitter followers.
"Sporting events always drive a massive amount of conversation on Facebook, but what we've seen so far during the World Cup has been extraordinary," a Facebook spokesman said
Another report states that, the tournament's first week, June 12 to 18, spurred 459 million posts, likes and comments on Facebook, according to the company. Compare that to 185 million interactions about the Super Bowl, 120 million for the Sochi Winter Olympics, and you realize the World Cup inspired more activity than the other two combined.
The 2014 World Cup event doesn't only consist of official social media accounts by sponsors, organization and countries playing in the world cup, it also consists of fans all around the world. Fans watching a particular game are the ones setting and breaking the world records on social media. They post comments and reactions during the game, they share and comment on their friend's posts, further driving the World Cup social media traffic.

WORLD CUP PLAYERS ARE USING HANDS MORE THAN EVER?!
I recently read an article by the NY times, the heading of the article caught my eyes. It states:
"World Cup Players Are Using Hands More Than Ever (to Tweet)- World Cup 2014: Controversies Highlight Players' Use of Social Media"
I, then, proceed on to read the entire article. After reading it, I totally agree with the heading as more world cup players are using "hands" more than ever, that is to tweet or upload a picture on Instagram, Facebook, etc. However, as a football fan, I am glad that world cup players such as Luis Suarez and Neymar are reaching out to their fans via social media to thank their fans for support.
For example, like Luis Suarez, after his biting incident, he took to twitter to apologize for his actions to his country, his supporters and mostly importantly, Giorgio Chiellini. He (Giorgio Chiellini) also took to twitter to forgive Suarez for it.
Besides that, Neymar also used social media to thank his supporters for their support and well-wishers after he was accidentally injured by Colombian defender, Juan Camilo Zúñiga. He recorded a video and uploaded it onto YouTube. The video garnered more than 1 million views on YouTube. Other athletes such as Germany's Mesut Ozil, Usian Bolt and Lebron James also took to Twitter to wish Neymar a speedy recovery.
Personally, I feel that world cup players using their "hands" more often isn't a bad thing, in fact, I am a huge fan of celebrities getting in touch with their fans through social media because it brings joy to us. We can also see the unity all the other professional athletes have on social media.

Van Dyken Staying Positive on Social Media
Not long after Amy Van Dyken-Rouen had surgery for a
life-threatening spine injury, while she still wasn't completely out of danger,
her husband placed a cell phone in her hands. Before
the advent of social media, information on athletes had to be disseminated, but now, they could provide
update at liberty. Van Dykan posted photos of herself in hospital with a
positive energy in Instagram.
It is good news for the sport fans that they could
keep themselves updated on the matters of their favourite sportsmen and
sportswomen through social media, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Besides that, the sportsmen and sportswomen can be encouraged by their fans
through the social media platform.

Danish Badminton Inspiration Team on Asia tour
The Danish Badminton Inspiration Team plays a friendly
match with Chinese badminton lovers selected from social media platforms Weibo
and Wechat on the outdoor badminton courts at the Danish Embassy in Beijing.
As we know that, China has their own social media
platforms to replace the international social media platforms such as Facebook.
It is creative and thoughtful for the Danish Badminton Inspiration Team to use
the Chinese social media platform to include the Chinese social media users who
are badminton enthusiasts in the badminton match.

Formula 1 is a loyalty on their social media strategy?
The footage of the F1 race is hardly search from any social media, all videos by spectaculars or overtaking moves are quickly taken down from the streaming websites such as YouTube. It is also common to see an announcement that the files has been removed following a request from Formula One Management (FOM). Formula 1 neither has an official Facebook nor Twitter fan page. But why they don't need to change it's social media?
From the article, it has mentioned about how F1 actually invested a huge amount of money in a ground-breaking subscription television service called F1 Digital from the past decades but it ended up losses a lot of money due to the low subscription around the world. In 2002, it was caught out again but this time they made a lawsuits at the owner and FOM paid about $8.5million for the domain name formula1.com
Ir's quite impressive that F1 doesn't need any luxury social media, as a fan of F1,they will definitely find their way out catching the live race instead of seeking them from any social media.

#Chillin4Charity
Niya Butts, the women's basketball coach at Arizona, saw
things get way out of hand. #Chillin4Charity hashtag seeks to raise money and
awareness for the Kay Yow Foundation, which provides grants and drives
inspiration in the fight against women's cancers. Her hashtag has been used in
more than 13,000 tweets, reaching nearly 32 million people worldwide.
This is an encouraging practice where people could
know the charity event by the hashtag or retweet by the celebrities or famous
sportsmen and sportswomen. Their followers may follow their footsteps and
support the charity events in any forms of help.

Follow the Pinterest map travel the Olympic history
Team GB have launched an interactive Pinterest map which pinned all the place where Olympic had 'walk through'-from Athens 1896 to Sochi 2014. This is somehow an interesting launched because the interactive map not only pinned about the places where Olympic hold and also features medal successes, Olympic Games logo and Team GB moments covering every Olympic Games from 1896 to 2014.
form parts
Team GB is aiming to engage with new audiences and fans. Hence, Pinterest is just one of Team GB's social media strategies on the road to Rio 2016.
I'm pretty sure this is a vivid and successful launch.

World Cup FEVER
JinnyboyTV’s
new video is out now!! Yeah! Well,
although the video is not the ‘updated’ one,it yet not the ‘outdated’ one. WHY?
Because FIFA FEVER NEVER END (I bet it last at least half year). Alright, now
I’m going to slightly describe a bit about the video they posted. The video is
about girls was seeking for a doctor as they think they are sick-what we called
it in Chinese is xiang si bing(相思病) which means that missing someone
till illness. And also some world cup scene parody. It’s funny!
I like they
posted it on YouTube as YouTube is easy to use, no matter what in which age
range, you can handle it like a boss. Their videos are easy to find as the title
is not too hard to remember and their video is funny and understandable.

ADIDAS or NIKE?
Adidas, Nike, Puma, Reebok must be familiar to sport lover. There are a lot of them but I'm here to discuss a little about the two chief brands, Adidas and Nike. As we know, they are all-time-competitors. Their competitive level is UPPPPPPPPPPPPP to the peak during World Cup 2014. Social medias like Facebook and Twitter become a 'stage' of the competition. "While Adidas has raised its game to be more active on Facebook and Twitter, Nike is getting more "Likes" of "Favourites",possibly because it is paying more to promote posts." marketing expert Kahane said.
As we can seen it's really an intense competition,no only on FIFA merchandise and officials kits but also on social media. (WOW!!!)
Adidas has win over Nike on winning the world cup battle.

Solo apologizes on social media.
If you read
the news weeks ago,you probably will know that the U.S. women’s star goalie
Hope Solo was arrested as she is accused of attacking her sister and her
17-year-old nephew at her sister’s house in Seattle. Solo is pleaded not guilty
and was released without bail. She then apologized to her fans via social media
(her Facebook page and her official Twitter account) and she said she loves her
family dearly.
As a public
figure, Solo chose to apologize through social media is somehow right (forget
about the sincerity). Social media is powerful and news spread fast. What I
could say is : Solo, you are just a smartass! ( You are forgiven too!)
